YSU ACE Union to Give Out Gift Cards to Less Fortunate People of the Valley-Tuesday

Youngstown State University Association of Classified Employees will be awarding nearly $400 in Gift Cards to two different organizations in the City of Youngstown on Tuesday, December 22 at 11am at the Rescue Mission of the Mahoning Valley, 962 Martin Luther King Jr Blvd, Youngstown, OH 44501. The two non-profit organizations will be the Open Arms Community Outreach, Inc. and the Rescue Mission of the Mahoning Valley.  Both are great organizations that serve those in the community who have fallen on hard times, and need of a little extra help with the basic necessities of life, food, clothing, a hot meal, etc. These organizations serve our community well and are great organizations to help the Community. Both organizations will have members in attendance for the presentations. Additionally, the Association contributed 4 gift cards to the New Springfield Fire Department’s Secret Santa program, where they identify 4 local families in need and help provide a Christmas for them.

As an organization, we appreciate and acknowledge the importance of giving back to our community in every way possible. “We are here to serve the less fortunate and this is a great way to give back to the campus community”, said Connie Frisby, Administrative Assistant in the Office of Computer Science & Information and YSU-ACE president.
